All different Yantar maneuvering systems have the same basic structure:
Four large and four small spherical tanks for the propellants, four further
small spherical tanks for the pressure gas helium, a main engine and several
thruster. The diameter of the unit is 2.72 m, the length as well as the inert
weight varies according to the type.
The primary engine burned storable UDMH/N2O4 propellants pressure-fed at a
1.86 ratio of O/F. The engine S5.461 is permanently restartable and has a
thrust of 2.94 kN with a specific impulse of 307 seconds (vac). The chamber
pressure is 0.9 MPa. Nominal propellant load is 680 kg but it could be varied
according to mission from 300 to 900 kg (burn time 300 to 900 sec).
